Fall Fashion Picks

This past weekend the cool brisk winds of autumn finally arrived in New Jersey. That is great news for this little lady! The season of cozy cashmere sweaters and chic leather jackets is back (for now)! Since I am taking a break from documenting (and eventually sharing) all our adventures from abroad, I thought it best to share some of my fashion finds and shopping tips for the cooler weather.

Color Pick: Red

I am seeing red, are you?! Red has always felt like a representation of who I am. It’s vibrant, bold, and more than a color because, let’s be honest, it’s a showstopper. With hues like scarlet, crimson, burgundy, vermilion, and ruby, the color is a standout of the season. Let's call it this year's power color, one you will definitely want to invest in.

Fabric Pick: Cashmere

It isn’t fall without a large, comfortable sweater. A cashmere sweater is both casual and classy. I have been swooning over this tie neck sweater in the vivid poppy and this flecked Vince sweater. Imagine how warm it will keep you while you’re enjoying hayrides and pumpkin patches!

Splurge Pick: Leather

I am infatuated with texture this year which explains my love for cashmere. However, I like the idea of a supple nappa leather in form of a jacket or skirt. Or if you are feeling daring, maybe these Theory leather pants will add some flavor to your wardrobe. I have already picked up this Sonia Rykiel skirt and paired it with this open work lace blouse and these Sézane heeled ankle boots

Accessory Pick: Leather Bucket Bag

The bucket bag has proven its major staying power over the last few seasons. Roomy and unfussy, it has the whole utility thing down to a science. Shop my personal favorite, this Mansur Gavriel bag in the burgundy calf leather.

Fun Pick: Fringe Benefits

Whether deployed on the hem of a skirt or cascading down the length of a dress, fringe will add a sense of playfulness to your outfit.

Tell me... what have you been coveting for fall? Please feel free to share in the comments below!
