Welcome to This Little Lady and thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you will continue to embark with me on this exciting journey as I navigate the ins and outs of blogging. This all started as a pre-wedding hobby in January 2012 after the love of my life proposed right before New Years Eve. I began a blog, "This Little Lady is Getting Married" and maintained it for the eighteen months of our engagement. Five years had passed and I was thinking about starting up a blog once again. In early January of 2017 a friend urged me to get started with a simple thought... it's now or never.

About five months ago I started reading up on blogging basics. I downloaded the app "Bloglovin" and started following other bloggers on Instagram and Facebook. I became so entrenched by their stories. Each new post took me to a new place... some days I found myself admiring photographs of the architecture in Rome, other days I would daydream of window shopping on Rue Saint HonorĂ© in Paris. I followed each blogger's adventure... I learned of one woman's hike up Mount Kilimanjaro, another woman's grief after miscarrying her baby, I heard of one traveler's hotel experiences and another's trek through Jerusalem. Each story filled me with energy. I was invigorated by their experiences and my desire to have a platform of my own to share my musings grew.

I started This Little Lady to connect with people all over the world. I believe that our differences should be celebrated and shared. I hope this blog allows me the opportunity to connect with those near and far. Since today is my very first blogpost I thought I would share a little bit about myself. I grew up in Northern New Jersey and now reside outside of Princeton. I married the love of life in 2013 and he has been the melody of my days. He and I have an affectionate Goldendoodle who is the right amount of playful and sass. We are both career people but after I retire home from my non profit job, I feel most like myself when I am in the kitchen trying a new recipe or clipping flowers from our garden. I am a champagne enthusiast, pure barre believer, gelato loving girl just trying to figure it all out. My husband and I both love to travel and do so as often as possible. I truly believe there is beauty to be found all around. My father used to tell me that I didn't have to travel 3,000 miles across the ocean to find what was pure and beautiful in my own backyard. And although I have been fortunate to travel, home is always where my heart will lie. This blog will be a collection of my thoughts, photos, recipe recommendations etc. I will cover just about everything... a little bit of life, a little bit of style and everything else in between. Thank you so much for riding this roller coaster with me. I promise it will be worth it.

Love and Light Always.
