I see it all the time, people spending a lot of money on a garment that they will only wear once, maybe twice (if they are lucky)!
An incredible waste of money in my opinion...
I personally believe in the "investment piece," and making sure that you are wearing those items and dressing for however you want to feel. With the way I structure my wardrobe it doesn't make sense for me to wear expensive and/or statement pieces only on rare occasions. The way that I see it, better quality clothes should be worn more often. If they are of a higher production standard they are going to last you longer, and you'll just end up treating them better anyway.
In a world more and more saturated with fast-fashion brands, it seems that spending as little money as possible is always the goal—but is that really smart? We know there must be at least a few items worth the splurge.
If you go through my closet you will find that I believe in a great handbag, a beautiful pair of shoes, the perfect leather jacket, a well fitting blazer, a piece of meaningful jewelry, and a little black dress. While all of these items don't constitute a complete wardrobe, those few pieces will send you well on your way to a fabulous (and classic) wardrobe!
